Dennis & Dyer Boxing Academy

A long awaited Boxing Academy in Loughton, Essex, which has been founded by leading boxing coaches, Marc Dennis and Liam Dyer, is finally able to open doors for the first time today, thanks to the easing of lockdown resrtictions on April 12th.

Dedicated to providing boxing training to members of the community across all age groups, the new Dennis & Dyer Boxing Academy has a clear vision to become one of Loughton’s ‘go to’ fitness establishments.

Backed by local, serial entrepreneur and property investment expert, Reece Mennie, who has sponsored the former WBC World Champion, Charlie Edwards, for a number of years, the Dennis & Dyer Boxing Academy will also offer training for aspiring professionals, focused on competing at an elite level.

Marc Dennis, Co-Founder of Dennis & Dyer Boxing Academy, confirmed: “I have been providing boxing training for over five years now, whether that’s for individuals looking to have fun and improve their fitness or for individuals looking to take boxing more seriously.

I am delighted to have partnered with both Liam and Reece and am incredibly excited to finally be able to open the gym. We have ambitious plans for it to become a leading fitness hub within the Loughton and wider Essex community, whilst working with new talent to produce the UK’s next elite boxing professionals.”

Both Marc Dennis and Liam Dyer boast extensive experience in boxing coaching, where Liam starting his journey in the overweight category as a teenager and competed for the Tottenham and Enfield club. Unfortunately, his struggle with asthma meant he was forced to retire from the sport early, but since then has worked alongside Marc to train boxers of all age groups and capabilities.

The dynamic duo met Reece when he recruited their help to improve his own fitness in early 2020. Though challenging, the lockdown period provided them with the opportunity to discuss their goals, and within weeks a new partnership was formed.

Reece added: “As a business owner and entrepreneur, I am always on the lookout for new investment opportunities and in meeting both Marc and Liam and understanding their vision I knew that I wanted to part of the new Boxing Academy, and particularly as I am local to Loughton.

I can assure you that this won’t be just another gym. It will be a place for children, women and men to improve their fitness, achieve their goals and have fun, whilst helping fresh new talent realise their dreams of becoming a boxing professional. We are all very excited about what the future holds for Dennis & Dyer Boxing Academy and can’t wait for the doors to open soon.”

Located in The Landmark at Barrington Green, Loughton, the Dennis & Dyer Boxing Academy is now open.
