Leading UK self storage provider, Ready Steady Store, has unveiled the installation of new and advanced access control security systems across all of its sites to raise the bar on self storage security.

Having formed a partnership with forward-thinking fire and security protection business, All Things Fire & Security and award-winning monitoring station DSOC over the last few years, Ready Steady Store has implemented advanced fire detection technology throughout its Roundhay, Manchester Central, and Wokingham sites, with installations planned for an additional site this year and a rolling programme of two sites a year going forward.

Dedicated to continually enhancing customer experience, this advanced technology is designed to detect fire hazards early and significantly reduce the risk of damage while ensuring the safety of stored goods.

In addition, Ready Steady Store is also exploring several upgrades for additional security enhancements, including 2 factor enabled access control, facial recognition, new and up- to-date tannoy systems, AI-enhanced CCTV surveillance, and improved remote alarm systems.

This will all be enhanced by Ready Steady Store’s dedicated ONE Lock System, which is currently in use at its Lincoln Sunningdale store. A wireless system that enables users to unlock and lock their storage unit simply by using a smartphone, the ONE Lock System is a secure solution set to revolutionise the way we lock and secure self storage, maximising both security and accessibility.

These state-of-the-art systems, including advanced fire detection technology and upcoming security enhancements, further solidify Ready Steady Store’s commitment to providing the highest level of safety and security for its growing customer base across the UK.
