Westfield Health has passed £100m in group revenue for the first time in its 106-year history. It reported £105m for the year to March 2026, up 7% on the previous year, as its insurance business continued to grow alongside its expanding wellbeing operation.

The Sheffield-headquartered health and wellbeing provider’s insurance gross written premiums (GWP) increased almost 5% to £80.8m. Its policyholder base rose to 590,000 during the year, marking another year of growth and a 25% increase since 2022.

The latest results mark more than 80% growth in group revenue since 2018, when revenue stood at £57m.

Healthy trading results across both businesses enabled Westfield Health Group to significantly reinvest in technology, innovation and strategy during the year, reflecting its focus on building for future growth rather than maximising short-term returns.

The Group remained profitable overall, supported by a 7.4% investment return, up from 3.6% the previous year, alongside continued growth from its wellbeing business.

Group reserves increased to £72.9m during the year, strengthening the financial base supporting the insurance operation.

Digital investment reshapes insurance proposition

The results follow continued investment in Westfield Health’s insurance infrastructure, including the April 2026 launch of Evolve, its fully digital health cash plan platform.

Evolve enables brokers to build and price personalised packages for their clients and manage portfolios digitally, with live claims and usage data on hand for reporting. Employers can do the same directly, building cover for their own workforce on the same platform. It also brings cash plans and private health insurance together within a single proposition, combining everyday healthcare benefits such as dental, optical and physiotherapy with private health insurance cover for scans, specialist consultations and treatment without long waits.

Evolve sits on a rebuilt insurance system that will provide the technological foundation for the next generation of products and services.

Dave Capper, chief executive at Westfield Health, said: “Passing £100m is an important milestone, but what matters is the strength of the business we’ve built to get there. We’ve invested heavily in the systems, platforms and capabilities that underpin our insurance business, and in how we work with brokers and employers day to day. That investment gives us a strong foundation for the next ten years.

“Evolve is the clearest example of that progress. We haven’t simply built a new front end; we’ve rebuilt the insurance platform underneath it. For brokers, that means being able to price a personalised package in minutes, manage an entire portfolio in one place and access live data for their client’s board reporting without having to chase us for information. That’s what a digital-first Westfield Health looks like, and it’s the direction we’re taking across the wider business.”

Westfield Health’s wellbeing business also delivered strong growth during the year, with trading income increasing 17% to £23.7m and gross profit rising by more than a quarter.

Its international wellbeing businesses, operating across 12 countries, are also being brought together under a single global brand, ROVA Health. A new US entity marks the company’s entry into the US corporate wellbeing market.

Alongside its commercial growth, Westfield Health more than doubled its Giving Back spend during the year to £1.53m, supporting organisations including Weston Park Cancer Charity, the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, the British Transplant Games and Baton of Hope.

The company’s longer-term strategy is centred on its 1:10:100 framework: one purpose, a 10-year ambition to generate £5bn of social value measured through its Wellby index, and a 100-year view of the business it is building.
