Locumotive Co-Founder Gautam Passi

Locumotive, an app born from a DM launched last week. Promising to help opticians find skilled workers (Locums).

Gautam passi came up with the idea when he was a store manager at a local Surrey opticians, struggling to find skilled workers.

Before Locumotive, opticians had to post jobs on ordinary job sites such as Reed or use recruitment agencies to recruit professionals, making it high cost, time intensive, and requiring excessive administration.

That’s where Passi spotted a gap in the market while discussing work with Co-founder, Samsher Singh.

Locumotive founder Gautam Passi said:
“As we started researching we found similar responses were given throughout the industry.

Many stores across the UK were facing difficulty in recruiting locums, and only had the option of going through a recruitment agency.”

Locumotive launched last week, allowing stores to have complete access to locums that are available with just a click of a finger, bringing the power back to the consumer.

Passi added:
“We believe that recruitment should be quick, easy and stress free so that store owners can focus on other parts of their business, while locums have everything they need in the palm of their hands”

Locumotive is available online, Apple App Store and Google Play. Where Locums can scroll through jobs, view a practice’s profile and communicate with directors via a messenger system while practices can post jobs, view profiles and reviews from previous employers.
