International children’s services franchise, Stagecoach Performing Arts, is celebrating an incredible milestone as Kristi Wenaus marks her one-year anniversary as Master Franchisee for Canada. Since stepping into the role in 2024, Kristi has spearheaded the growth and development of Stagecoach’s network across Canada, driving both personal and professional growth for the franchisees and students alike.

“The past year has been filled with remarkable milestones – I can hardly believe how quickly it has flown by!” said Kristi. “I’m incredibly proud of how our franchisees have supported one another. Since joining the Stagecoach network in 2019 with my first franchise territory, I’ve seen firsthand how vital it is to foster a strong sense of community, both in Canada and globally. This year, we’ve not only accomplished that but exceeded expectations, and I couldn’t be more excited about what we’ve achieved together.”

Kristi’s leadership has made a significant impact on the Stagecoach Canada network, increasing the size of the Canadian school network, introducing new programmes and welcoming new franchisees. “Two of our existing franchisees have expanded their businesses into new territories, and four more franchisees are scheduled to begin training in the spring,” added Kristi. “It’s certainly an exciting time to be part of the Stagecoach family!”

“One of the biggest highlights of the past year was hosting our national conference in Muskoka, Ontario. The final dinner with our franchisees, filled with storytelling and laughter, was absolutely magical. Watching them support and celebrate each other’s successes is a truly joyful experience.”

Under Kristi’s leadership, Stagecoach Canada is also making waves internationally, with 46 students from across the country set to perform at Disneyland® Paris this July. This opportunity has garnered enthusiastic feedback from students, parents and franchisees, further elevating Stagecoach’s already world-class performing arts programme.

“We have 46 students from across the country who will be performing in front of the iconic Disney Castle and dancing in the famous Disney Stars on Parade,” explained Kristi. “This would not have been possible without a Master Franchise based in Canada, taking the helm and making it happen. While Stagecoach is already a unique programme, offering world-class performing arts training to students across the country, adding international performance opportunities like this partnership elevates that experience.”

Looking ahead, Kristi is focused on stability and sustainable growth. “This year will be about stabilising our network and ensuring the seeds of change we planted last year continue to take root. Our long-term goal is to bring life-changing performing arts training to as many students as possible across Canada.”

For Andy Knights, CEO of Stagecoach, Kristi’s commitment to the growth of the franchise across Canada has played a significant role in the success of the brand as a whole.

“Kristi’s dedication and exceptional leadership over the past year have been nothing short of inspiring,” said Andy. “It’s been an absolute privilege to watch her drive the growth and development of Stagecoach Performing Arts in Canada. Her commitment to supporting and empowering our franchisees and students has been a cornerstone of our success. I’m incredibly proud of everything she’s achieved and the lasting impact she’s had on our Stagecoach family. The future for Stagecoach Canada is incredibly bright, and I have every confidence that Kristi will continue to lead with passion and vision as we reach new heights together.”
