“There is a growing band of socially conscious, value-led entrepreneurs in Yorkshire whether they are a solopreneur, start-up founder, or an established business owner.  Despite this last year presenting so many challenges and changes, I wanted to create a positive event that was aimed at encouraging, motivating, and supporting SME business owners to think and believe big in their potential.

We can often be restricted in living life to the full and maximizing our potential by imposed barriers and fears. But we can do amazing things and make a huge change when we empower ourselves with knowledge and are surrounded by good people – which is what the day is all about.

I’m delighted we’ll also be raising funds for an amazing charity that is making such a difference to so many.”

The event will involve a packed agenda of inspiring speakers and panelists from start-up business owners to high-turnover SMEs, including renowned global event speaker, Nicky Pattinson, Andrew Clay, CEO of Scarborough Museums Trust, and Anj Handa founder of Inspiring Women Changemakers. Topics will include imposter syndrome, the art of delegation, positive social change, self-care, breaking down barriers to growth, goal setting, and sustainability for SMEs.

Adele Burrough, Fundraising Manager at Macmillan said:

“We know it’s not easy for anyone at the moment but having a diagnosis of cancer on top of everything else is devastating. We’ve launched an appeal in Yorkshire, and we want to be there for every person diagnosed with cancer in the region. At this time our supporters, and every donation they receive, have never mattered more. I would like to say a huge thank you to Ros for her support as the funds donated from the event will make a massive difference to the people living with cancer.”

A power lunch recipe from personal trainer and nutritionist, Katherine Bray will be provided before the event and the day will end with an armchair yoga session by Ella Mesma.

Tickets can be purchased on eventbrite by searching Think and Believe Big

There is also a pay-it-forward option to purchase a ticket which will be donated to another who is struggling financially.
