UK’s Only Nanotechnology Solicitor Launches In Yorkshire
York-based legal consultancy, Technical Terms, pivoted its business offering during the coronavirus outbreak to offer a remote general counsel service for the nanotechnology sector in the UK. Technical Terms is now the UK’s only legal consultancy to work exclusively within the industry.
A research study of 100 of the UK’s technology SMEs by Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking and UK Tech News in August 2020 showed that 48% of firms affected by the coronavirus pandemic have pivoted their product or service to better suit the current climate. Technical Terms has followed suit in pivoting from a commercial contracts service to providing legal counsel to a new niche within the nanotechnology sector.
Working with companies turning over £2.5m-10m, Technical Terms is the only legal consultancy in the UK to work exclusively within the nanotechnology sector.
Simon Ward, Founder of Technical Terms, said, “I decided to relaunch the company to focus on a new niche within nanotechnology because this is where my knowledge, skills and interests lie. I appreciate each business is unique and enjoy creating bespoke services for each client.” Ward continues, “As a company’s remote general counsel I am very much an extension of their internal team embedding good legal practice into the company so that clients can gain greater control of their business, source more opportunities and reduce potential legal risks.”
