Young Scottish performers wanted for Jack and the Beanstalk auditions at the SEC this Christmas
Young actors, singers and dancers from across Scotland are invited to audition for the Junior Ensemble of Jack and the Beanstalk in 3D at Glasgow’s SEC this Christmas.
Theatre School of Scotland (TSOS) will hold open auditions at the SEC on Sunday 30 August 2026.
You don’t need lots of training or any previous stage experience to take part. TSOS wants to meet young people aged 6–17 who love performing and can bring energy, enthusiasm and personality to the stage.
Applications are welcome from actors, singers and dancers. Young people can attend any dance, theatre or performing arts school or have no previous performance experience at all. Anyone who already attends a performing arts school should ask their teacher before applying.
Successful performers will join the professional company for the festive production, working with its cast and creative team at the SEC’s Lomond Auditorium.
Producer Reece Donnelly said: “We want to give young performers from every part of Scotland the chance to appear on stage at the SEC. Come along, have fun and show us your personality. You could be joining Jack on stage at the iconic SEC this Christmas!”
The production marks TSOS’s fifth year presenting its Christmas pantomime at the SEC. Previous shows have featured performers including Paige Turley, Gayle Telfer Stevens and Katy J.
Jack and the Beanstalk runs at the SEC from 16–24 December 2026 and will feature comedy, songs, dancing and 3D effects.
The open auditions will take place at the SEC in Glasgow on Sunday 30 August 2026. Applicants must be aged 6–17, and no previous performance experience is required.
All young performers must book an audition slot in advance. Walk-ins cannot be guaranteed an audition.
Audition places can be booked through Eventbrite.
