Airey Miller Group Welcomes MP To New Cambridge Office

Following the recent launch of its new Cambridge office, leading nationwide multi-discipline property and construction consultancy group, Airey Miller, welcomed local MP Charlotte Cane to explore the region’s housing challenges and discuss barriers to delivering social and affordable housing in Cambridgeshire.

Charlotte Cane, a Member of Parliament for Ely and East Cambridgeshire and Councillor John Trapp were given a tour of Airey Miller’s new Milton Hall office and heard from the team how its local base will enable the business to work more closely with clients and project partners, providing responsive, on-the-ground support and deeper local insight.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to bring together local government and industry insight, with discussions around the challenges affecting the pipeline of regional affordable housing and the appetite of Registered Providers (RP) in the current climate of market uncertainty, increasing planning and regulatory complexity along with rising build costs and viability pressures.

The meeting reinforced the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in overcoming challenges to housing delivery by aligning policy, funding mechanisms and technical expertise to create more effective delivery frameworks.
