Chargebee and Twikey Partner to Help Businesses Build a More Connected Recurring Revenue Stack
Twikey, a European platform for SEPA e-mandate management and recurring payment automation, and Chargebee, a billing and monetisation platform for businesses with recurring revenue models, today announced a strategic partnership to help organisations connect their billing systems more directly with bank payment infrastructure.
For many finance teams, their billing platforms, ERP systems, and banks still operate too far apart. Invoices and payments often need to be matched across multiple systems, creating unnecessary manual work, more complexity, and a greater risk of failed collections.
Bringing billing and bank payments closer together
Chargebee is AI monetisation and billing infrastructure for companies navigating subscription, usage-based, and hybrid pricing. Its platform connects the full revenue lifecycle – from product and pricing configuration to usage metering, revenue recognition, and customer retention – across enterprise sales and self-serve growth, multiple entities, and global markets.
Twikey connects billing systems directly to banks through more than 3,500 bank and connector integrations. Its platform manages SEPA e-mandates and supports reliable recurring collections.
With this new partnership, payment statuses, including SEPA Direct Debit collections and bank transfers, now flow from Twikey into Chargebee in real time. That gives finance teams better visibility into payment statuses and significantly reduces the need for manual reconciliation. Since merchants who offer SEPA Direct Debit and bank transfers via Twikey collect money directly (rather than going through an intermediary payment service provider), the partnership also makes consumers’ bank statements clearer, which can result in fewer chargebacks.
The combined Chargebee + Twikey solution is particularly relevant for businesses in sectors such as media, insurance, retail, utilities, and telecom, where recurring payments, large customer bases, and complex pricing structures often go hand in hand.
“As businesses adopt usage-based and more complex pricing models, the gap between billing payments can show up as failed collections and manual reconciliation overhead,” said Jeff Sant, COO of Chargebee. “By working with Twikey, we help customers connect their billing and payments infrastructure directly, reduce operational overhead, and improve revenue collection and management.”
“The disconnect between billing systems and bank payments has been a persistent challenge for businesses managing recurring revenue,” said Dominique Adriansens, CEO at Twikey. “Mandates change, transactions fail, payment details become outdated, and finance teams are left to resolve these gaps manually, often because legacy systems lack the depth needed to keep up. That’s why we’re happy to partner with Chargebee, so we can help organisations build a more connected recurring revenue stack: reducing reconciliation effort, improving collections performance, and delivering more reliable revenue data across systems.”
