A new leisure attraction is coming to the city, offering a thrilling experience.
Southampton residents and visitors will be transported into a lumberjack extravaganza as Axeology, a brand-new axe throwing venue, is preparing to open its doors in the heart of the city on July 15.
The venue, located on East Street in the city centre, will feature four axe throwing lanes, offering an adrenaline-pumping experience for groups ranging from 2 to 16 people.
Co-owner, Bikram Sohal, said: ‘We’ve been working day and night getting the venue ready. It’s taken over 1 year for us to find a suitable space but we’re nearly there. As a Southampton resident myself and father of 3, I’ve always wanted to open something like this and we’re hugely grateful for all the support from those who have helped us get to where we are. If you haven’t heard of Axe Throwing, or been Axe Throwing I would encourage you to try it at least once to test your resilience, hand-eye coordination and to feel the surge of power when you get that axe into the target, a natural stress reliever.”
Axeology has a retro-lumberjack feel to it with flannel shirts and the light smell of timber as soon as you step in.
In addition to providing a fun and engaging activity the venue will provide expert instructors who will guide participants, ensuring they learn proper axe throwing techniques and emphasising safety throughout the experience.
The opening of Axeology is also set to have a positive impact on the local economy, as the venue is expected to create five new jobs in the area, contributing to the growth and employment opportunities within Southampton.
The venue will also offer a range of bar snacks, soft drinks and non-alcoholic beers to keep participants fuelled and refreshed.
The management is also actively seeking a partnership with a local supplier to expand their catering options and offer a larger range to customers while supporting a small business.
To celebrate its grand opening, Axeology is offering an early-bird special with tickets priced at £19 per person.
This discounted rate will be available until the end of July, allowing residents to take advantage of the experience at an affordable price.
Axeology is open to bookings of any kind including corporate teambuilding, birthdays, stag and hen dos and private events.
