New UK Speakers’ Agency Launches to Put Female Founders and Leaders on the Country’s Biggest Stages

Founder of EAST VILLAGE., EV. Speakers, and The 51% Club: Tara Attfield-Tomes

East Village., the UK’s only visibility agency for female founders and leaders, has launched EV. Speakers, a new venture built to close the persistent gender gap on the nation’s stages.

Women remain significantly underrepresented as keynote speakers at UK events. In one of the largest international studies of its kind, analysing more than 60,000 event speakers, the UK ranked the least diverse country examined, with women making up just a quarter of all speakers. Summit stages were starker still, at roughly 15 percent female.

Speakers exists to change that, not by listing names in a passive directory, but by actively championing and placing exceptional women in the events, conferences, and boardrooms that need their voices.

The launch roster of speakers covers expertise from AI, FemTech, and investment to leadership psychology, personal branding, and social impact. Speakers include award-winning journalist and Good Morning Britain host, Marverine Cole; The Apprentice finalist and business partner to Lord Sugar, Scarlett Allen-Horton; and Olivia and Tanyka Davson, the founders of Cubbi, who recently appeared on Dragons’ Den and received investment from Tropic Skincare’s Susie Ma.

In addition to BAFTA-winning TV presenter and confidence coach, Katy Hill; author and psychologist, Dr Lalitaa Suglani; and women’s empowerment activist, Lu Featherstone – better known as ‘Luinluland’.

“There are plenty of speaking bureaus and directories out there, but none of them are focused on genuine curation and intentional championing of women. That’s the missing piece of the puzzle and the thing that starts to move the dial,” said Tara Attfield-Tomes, Founder of EAST VILLAGE. and EV. Speakers.

“I didn’t want to launch another online directory. EV. Speakers is about proactively amplifying the female voice. Giving women who have something to say the stages and the spotlight they deserve, whilst helping event organisers diversify their line-ups and proving, once and for all, that the talent was never the problem: visibility was.”

What sets EV. Speakers apart is its connection to EAST VILLAGE.’s wider visibility work and its sister organisation, The 51% Club; a national community of more than 2,000 female founders and leaders. Also founded by Attfield-Tomes, this gives the agency a pipeline of stage-ready women developed through PR, profile-building, and ongoing support.

To make the process seamless for event organisers, every speaker profile includes a ballpark fee guide, and the EV. Speakers team handles the full process on both sides; from introductions and briefing notes to fee negotiations and logistics.

Speakers also operates with social purpose at its core, donating a percentage of its annual net profits to Smart Works, a charity that helps women into employment. As EV. Speakers grows, so does its impact.

The launch roster is now live on the East Village website, and women interested in joining are invited to apply to join online.
