Europe’s fastest growing ‘employee experience’ platform Perkbox has appointed leadership consultant and executive coach Mona Akiki as Chief People Officer, effective immediately.
Prior to founding Path Forward where she helped leaders and their teams achieve their full potential through coaching and advisory services, Mona Akiki held leadership HR roles within large global financial institutions out of Toronto, New York and London, including CIBC, RBC Capital Markets and CPP Investments.
Although no stranger to Perkbox, Mona’s new appointment comes at a crucial time for Perkbox, which has seen its holistic employee wellness platform play a pivotal role in organisations endeavouring to manage the emotional, financial, physical and social wellbeing of teams, particularly in the age of COVID and remote working. Launched in 2015, Perkbox now operates internationally with headquarters in London and offices in Sheffield and Australia. It works with over 7,500 businesses and brands in over 30 countries.
Mona Akiki commented: “I am delighted to finally come onboard in this capacity. I have been partnering with Perkbox for over 18 months and now find myself joining a stellar organisation which already feels like home. I will have the privilege to continue to impact Perkboxers’ own employee experience as well as support and influence our customers in doing the same. Now, more than ever, organisations are realising the importance of helping employees live better in life and at work, and so to join Perkbox whose entire ethos has centred around this simple message is a dream come true.”
Gautam Sahgal commented: “Businesses and organisations are operating in a unique time in history, challenged by the pandemic and other social tensions that have had profound implications on the general health and wellbeing of their teams. Mona’s rich experience within this space will ensure that Perkbox leads by example – not just by providing a best in class employee experience product to businesses of all kinds, but by strengthening our work culture so we become the exemplar of an inspiring organisation that lives by good values and where the benefit of looking after employees speaks for itself.”
