Shipster, a Manchester-based shipping integration platform, won the Silver Award for the coveted category of ‘UK eCommerce Software or Extension of the Year’ during the 2021 UK eCommerce Awards. The awards ceremony, hosted by prominent television presenter, Jenny Powell, was held at the Montcalm Marble Arch in London on the 4th of November.
Developed by the Manchester-based software company OddSphere Ltd, Shipster is a shipping integration platform for eCommerce businesses that need custom shipping with any courier, warehouse or sales system. The shipping platform allows eCommerce companies to personalize and automate their shipment rules based on any criteria, such as parcel weight, store collection, product type, destination and more.
Shipster won the prestigious UK eCommerce Silver Award, in large part, because they adapted quickly and dynamically during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and Brexit negotiations, resulting in unprecedented growth and recognition. One of Shipster’s most noteworthy initiatives was the introduction of a pandemic support package that granted free additional shipping licenses to client medical and PPE suppliers to combat the COVID-19 crisis.
Shipster also guided its clients into a post-Brexit shipping world by creating a new “Brexit” version of Shipster, designed to be compatible in both a deal- or no-deal scenario. They offered guidance and kept their clients abreast of the latest developments and changes, softening the transition into a post-Brexit and post-COVID landscape. Shipster has displayed a remarkable ability to remain agile and dynamic, prioritising client success at every stage.
