Redcar-based law firm, Cygnet Law, has been awarded Team of the Year in the Family Law category for the second year running at the prestigious Northern Law Awards.
The Northern Law Awards champion the many talented individuals working in the legal sector across the region, highlighting extraordinary achievements and successes.
The firm, that was nominated in a total of seven categories, was presented with the accolade at a ceremony which took place at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
Cygnet’s director of finance and practice management, Lisa Smith, also triumphed on the evening, taking home the Law Practice Management award.
Lisa has been with Cygnet since it first established in 2001 and holds over 30 years of experience in family law. She was commended for her wealth of knowledge, commitment to Cygnet’s success, and unwavering management style.
In a third win for Cygnet, the much-coveted Trainee of the Year title was awarded to Amber Lockett, who began her training contract with Cygnet in October ‘21 and has recently qualified as a solicitor.
Amber’s excellent client manner, strong initiative, and increasing advocacy skills didn’t fail to impress the panel of judges.
