Traditional Walsall Pizzeria to Expand Catering Capacity with Grant Funding

A Walsall-based Neapolitan pizzeria is set to expand its catering capacity and increase output for large scale events after securing a £5,000 grant from Walsall Business Support.

Grazie Mille is a family-run Neapolitan pizzeria that opened after its founders identified a gap in the local market for traditional Italian pizza. The business operates a dine-in pizzeria, as well as a mobile pizza trailer which provides catering for weddings, corporate events and private functions.

The grant will be used to invest in specialist high-capacity kitchen equipment to help meet increased demand from catering work. The investment will allow the business to produce larger volumes of food for events while maintaining its current production methods.

Andreas Singh, owner of Grazie Mille said: “We are so pleased to receive this support from Walsall Business Support. It comes at a time when demand for our catering has grown significantly, and we needed to increase our capacity.

“The new equipment will allow us to take on larger bookings without compromising on the way we currently prepare our pizzas, with traditionally-made long-fermented dough. It will make a real difference to how we manage our workload.”

Led by leading business figures to distribute funds collected from the legacy of Walsall Chamber of Commerce, Walsall Business Support funds projects to enhance the borough’s economy.

Walsall Business Support representative, Gill Durkin, said: “Grazie Mille has identified a clear opportunity to strengthen its catering operation and this investment will help them put the right infrastructure in place to support them as they grow. It is good to see local hospitality businesses responding to demand and planning for sustainable growth.”
