CRG Homecare has been awarded a contract to provide care across the South Tyneside area, including rapid response/ Hospital Integrated Clinical Support System, domiciliary care and an extra care scheme.

This will be CRG Homecare’s largest branch to date, with the number of hours transferred totalling 3,000. The company, which provides a range of care and support staff and services, will be caring for the local community in Horsley Hill, Cleadon and Whitburn.

Regional Director, Laura Rushton, said: “We’re overjoyed to be awarded the new contract in South Tyneside, offering three separate services, all of which will be transferred to CRG Homecare over the next few months.

“We’d love to hear from people who may have lost their jobs recently or have felt the effects of Covid-19 and are looking for work. This contract will bring a number of jobs to the area and applicants do not require previous experience as all training will be provided. The new contract will see the business grow as it looks to recruit multiple care assistant roles for the local area. The new care assistants will be caring for individuals in their own homes by helping them with their daily routine, including administering medication and helping service users with shopping and other leisure activities.
