The Great Big Legal Offsite Returns for Year 3 — And This Time, It’s a Jungle Out There

The Great Big Legal Offsite (GBLO) returns to Ribby Hall Village on the 3rd July, marking its third year as one of the most energising and unconventional events in the legal sector. Designed for legal leaders, founders, innovators, and SME law firms, GBLO continues to redefine what a legal offsite can be and promises to be bold, immersive, and unapologetically different. Compered once again by Peter Dickson, the legendary voice behind The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, and Live at the Apollo.

Created and delivered by Kate Burt, Founder & CEO of HiveRisk, and Robert Hanna, the founder of the Legally Speaking Podcast, the UK’s number one law podcast, the event brings together two influential voices shaping the future of legal leadership.  Together, they will elevate authentic stories, amplify diverse voices, and challenge the status quo within the profession.

This year’s theme, ‘The Laws of the Jungle’,  sets the tone for a day that will explore what it truly takes to survive and thrive in a world defined by complexity. Today’s legal and commercial environment mirrors the jungle: fast moving, competitive, full of opportunity, and alive with both visible and hidden threats. GBLO Year 3 invites delegates to step into this landscape and examine the Laws of the Jungle through the lens of adaptability, courage, and strategic leadership.

The event will feature a keynote address from Dana Denis Smith OBE, incoming president of the Law Society of England & Wales, amongst other accolades. Her insights on resilience and transformation will anchor a programme rich in real-world experience, honest storytelling, and forward-thinking discussion. I.Stephanie Boyce CBE FCK, Former President of the Law Society, and 2025 solicitor of the year Becca Horley will also be in attendance.

Speakers from across the sector will share their journeys through risk, disruption, and growth, offering delegates a rare window into the realities of leadership.
